Job Description

As a Security Officer - Financial Desk in Hackensack, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a financial institution setting, you will be responsible for monitoring access, assisting visitors, and providing a welcoming presence at the main entry point. Your role involves helping to deter security-related incidents through visibility and strong communication, while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This position is primarily stationary, focusing on access control and supporting a secure environment for all who enter the location.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to financial institutions.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with relevant personnel as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and staff to address inquiries or concerns related to security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
