Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer - Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at this government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing excellent customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This post requires a valid driver's license, as driving may be part of your duties. You will contribute to a positive environment by working collaboratively with your team and upholding the values of reliability, agility, and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, observations, and incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities as required.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and monitor for any unusual or suspicious activity within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
  • Texas Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
