Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Site Patrol in Catonsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This primarily driving post involves conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service and communication to those on site. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity or situations that may require attention.
  • Assist in helping to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits as needed.
  • Collaborate with site staff and local authorities when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This is primarily a driving post and prior driving experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
