Job Description

As a Security Officer - Desk Patrol -  Overnight Shift in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will be stationed at the main entrance, greeting visitors and monitoring access to the location. Your responsibilities include verifying credentials, managing visitor logs, and assisting with access control to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide excellent customer service and clear communication, serving as the first point of contact for guests and staff. Pay Rate: $17.65 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Monitor access to the location, greeting and assisting visitors as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities and any incidents that occur at the front desk.
  • Communicate with management and emergency personnel when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
