Job Description

As a Security Professional - Education Patrol in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting students, staff, and visitors, and responding to situations as they arise. This post requires driving as part of your duties. You will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activities by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring the premises.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities according to established protocols.
  • Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions or information as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required.
  • A valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is required.
  • At least 6 months of security experience is required.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
