As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As an armed patrol officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This armed post requires professionalism and a commitment to upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring and collaborative team.

Pay Rate: $28.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Document and report any suspicious activities or incidents according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed during incidents.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license.
• Must have a California Armed Security Professional License.
• Must have a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• Must have an Armed Designation as required by the state of California.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Must acknowledge and comply with all firearms-related policies and procedures.
• Must complete Firearms Annual Requalification Training, which can be completed post hire.
• Must participate in Post Tag Armed Sidearm training, which can be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
