Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital Site Patrols - Afternoon Shift in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents as needed, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions within the location, following established protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and directing visitors as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff and local authorities as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
