Job Description

As a Security Professional - Lobby Ambassador in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a dynamic tech environment, you will be stationed at the main entry point, greeting visitors and assisting employees while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves monitoring access, responding to inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly and work collaboratively with team members, reflecting our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. This position is primarily stationary, focusing on access control and supporting a welcoming atmosphere for all who enter the location.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and contractors at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional presence.
  • Carry out security procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of security-related incidents and visitor activity.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • California Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
