Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Healthcare in Laurel, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. This armed post requires professionalism and a commitment to upholding a secure environment for all individuals on site, while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents within the location.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and managing entry points as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities, including coordinating with local authorities when necessary.
  • Document and communicate observations, incidents, and activities according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card/License as required by state and local regulations.
  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
