Job Description

As a Security Officer - Technology Site in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This role does not require driving or carrying a weapon.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and observing for any security-related incidents.
  • Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and guiding visitors as required.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents or drills.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
