Job Description

As a Security Professional - Gate House in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and assisting with badge verification. You will interact with staff and visitors, delivering excellent customer service and clear communication. This post may require driving as part of your duties. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
