Job Description

$18.00 / HOURLY

Float Security Officer – High-Rise Facility

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Flexible – Must be available for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • We are seeking a highly professional, reliable, and polished Float Officer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service. This is a high-visibility position in a prestigious 72-story high-rise building that demands excellence, discipline, and a strong commitment to safety.   • Enforce access control procedures and monitor security systems
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
  • Conduct regular foot patrols and building inspections
  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and guests
  • Maintain detailed and accurate daily reports and incident documentation
  • Collaborate with site management and emergency responders as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    *A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in security, military, or law enforcement
  • Valid State of Texas Level II security license
  • Excellent communication, observation, and reporting skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and security-related software
  • Must maintain a professional, clean-cut appearance
  • Physically able to stand or patrol for extended periods
  • Flexible availability – including overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience in a corporate or high-rise environment
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Familiarity with access control systems and surveillance technology
