Job Description

As a Security Professional - Distribution Location in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a commercial real estate setting, you will primarily drive and monitor assigned areas, conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and attentive communication will contribute to a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service while responding to inquiries and assisting with any concerns. Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity or security-related incidents.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Support emergency response activities, including evacuations or medical emergencies, in accordance with site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This is primarily a driving post; prior driving experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required.
  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
