Job Description

As a Security Professional - Hospital Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while your strong communication and customer service skills support positive interactions. This position may require driving as part of your patrol duties. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and working together with integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.06 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, patients, and visitors as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying identification as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Experience providing physical restraint is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
