Job Description

As a Security Professional - School Patrol in West Nyack, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while addressing any security-related concerns that may arise on campus.

Pay Rate: $22.44 / Hour

Mon04:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Tue04:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Wed04:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Thur04:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the education location by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any security-related incidents.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual observations according to site protocols.
  • Support staff, students, and visitors by providing information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have prior law enforcement or military experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • New York Security Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
