As a Security Officer - Education Facility in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Officer in an educational setting, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring entry points, assisting visitors, and addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and providing exceptional customer service. This position values teamwork and integrity, aligning with our commitment to a caring and innovative culture. While a guard card/license is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Assist in managing security-related incidents and respond to critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.
• Facilitate communication and coordination during emergency response activities as needed.
• Maintain a professional presence at the front desk to help deter unauthorized access and activities.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that all visitors and staff are properly identified and logged.
• Support the educational environment by addressing inquiries and providing information to students, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
