As a Security Officer - Retail Security in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

Join our team as an Unarmed Officer in a dynamic retail and mall environment. Your role will involve conducting routine rounds to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will engage with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position does not require driving or carrying arms, but experience in access control and comfort with technology is preferred.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have at least 1 year of security experience.
• CA-SP Registration-AUS translates to California Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
