Job Description

As a Security Officer - Utility Control in Bradley, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Access Control Officer in the utilities sector, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine checks and maintaining a visible presence to assist in preventing unauthorized access. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all personnel and visitors. This position requires an armed security professional, as indicated by the FL: Armed SP Lic requirement. Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by implementing access control procedures and adhering to site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, adapting to varying environments and conditions.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents through careful monitoring and presence.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and any incidents that occur.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall security posture of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a valid Florida Armed Security Professional License (FL: Armed SP Lic).
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
