Job Description

As a Security Professional - Utility Access in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Access Control Officer in the utilities sector, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and communication. This role requires an armed designation, ensuring you are prepared to handle any situation that may arise. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

DayTime
Wed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Thur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by implementing access control procedures and adhering to site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, particularly in a utilities environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Assist in managing access to the premises, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order.
  • Engage in emergency response activities when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Document and report any irregularities or incidents encountered during patrols or while monitoring access points.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have an Armed Designation, which is a strict requirement.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Florida Security Professional Guard Card required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
