As a Security Guard - Armed Utility in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Access Control Officer in the utilities sector, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to assist in preventing unauthorized access. This position requires an armed designation, and candidates must be 21 years or older with a valid FL: Armed SP License. You will also provide exceptional customer service and communication, embodying our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, while fostering a caring culture that prioritizes teamwork and integrity.

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by implementing access control procedures and adhering to site-specific policies.
• Assist in responding to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for any security-related incidents.
• Participate in emergency response activities as required, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have an Armed Designation, which is a strict requirement.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles, which is a strict requirement.
• Applicants must possess a Florida Armed Security Professional License, which is a strict requirement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
