Allied Universal is seeking Full Time Security Protection Officers for a Tech Site in Cupertino, CA

 

Pay Rate: $29.00 / hour

Shifts: Day and Swing (Monday - Friday)

 

Requirements:

Active Security Guard Card License (Required)

Valid CA State Drivers License 1+ Year; Clean Record; strong technology proficiency

Security experience (required)

Must be comfortable with potential changes in schedule.

 

 

As a Security Protection Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.  The Security Protection Officer is a professional and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Field Test Driver and Security Coordinator. This role operates in a business-centered environment that values customer service, confidentiality, and integrity. The primary responsibility is to facilitate secure and efficient field testing activities, including driving engineers and contractors on designated routes and ensuring their safety and security throughout the process. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess a keen eye for security, and enjoy working in a collaborative, professional setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with supervisors to arrange field test schedules, vehicles, and logistics
  • Meet and escort engineers or contractors to the designated test vehicle
  • Provide professional and courteous interactions with government officials or the public when necessary
  • Safely transport engineers/contractors along predefined routes or to specific sites for testing purposes
  • Monitor activities during field tests to maintain a secure environment
  • Ensure all equipment is secure and remains protected when engineers step out for breaks
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings, identifying and reporting any security concerns to supervisors promptly
  • Prevent unauthorized access to test vehicles or facilities
  • Initiate investigations into any security-related incidents that occur during field tests
  • Utilize technical skills to support operations involving iOS, macOS, and PC operating systems on stationary and mobile devices
  • Provide regular updates to supervisors regarding test progress and any issues encountered
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity in all interactions
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and situational awareness, ensuring safety and compliance at all times

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Associate's degree or higher in criminal justice, business management, or a related field, OR:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in military, law enforcement, or corrections, OR
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in physical security, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with iOS, macOS, and PC operating systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage complex operations effectively
