Job Description

Lead the way in ensuring safety at a dynamic healthcare facility! As a Hospital Lead Security Officer, your leadership and expertise will make a meaningful impact every day.

Payrate : USD $ 29.01 - 30.01 / hour

Dual Role This position entails a dual role where the Hospital Lead Security Officer will serve as a Specialist for two days per week, earning $29.01 per hour, and as a Lead Officer for two days per week, earning $30.01 per hour. 

Mandated Overtime We have a mandatory overtime policy that is strictly enforced. You may be required to work additional hours beyond your assigned shift, which may include staying later or being called in several hours before your scheduled shift. Typically, overtime is for an additional 4 hours, but occasionally it may extend to 8 hours. The need for overtime is generally in response to situations such as last-minute officer call-offs, hospital emergency lockdowns, or other operational requirements.

 

As a Hospital Security Lead Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

The Hospital Security Lead Officer assists with the supervision and training of the Hospital Security Officers on duty to ensure full coverage of posts, undertakes the surveillance of our customer’s healthcare premises to detect and prevent any suspicious activities, assist in incidents of disaster, report incidents, uphold order, write detailed reports, and provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Provide supervision and training to Healthcare Security Officers on duty at client site(s)
  • Prepare daily payroll sign-in sheets and forwards to security leadership
  • Observe and immediately report any signs of crime, disorder, safety hazard, and unusual activity

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum (1) year of Security Experience.
  • Must have a minimum (1) year of Leadership Experience.
  • Be able to be fully CLEAN SHAVEN (if applicable)
  • Be free of VISIBLE TATTOOS on areas of the body that are not covered by standard work attire; tattoos on the face, neck, hands, or any visible body part must be absent or easily concealable.
  • Be free of VISIBLE PIERCINGS, including facial piercings, during work hours; piercings that can be easily removed are acceptable.
  • Be able to STAND AND WALK for extended periods, as the nature of the job may involve continuous periods of standing and walking.
  • Must possess a valid DRIVER'S LICENSE with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
