Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Global Security Operations Center Operator. Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operators are responsible for Physical Security, Life Safety, Alarm Monitoring, Global Threat Management, Video Monitoring and Incident Management for client data centers and global offices. In addition to routine physical security and life safety tasks such as foot patrols, evacuations, and ID checks, the GSOC Operator will monitor multiple computer screens and implement a variety of tools ranging from access control and alarm monitoring systems to business intelligence sources, open-source media, and other in-house security tools. The Operator is required to detect, analyze, and alert on incidents which may impact the client’s people, products, property, or brand image.

 

Full Time: Monday-Friday 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. 

Hourly Pay Rate: $28.00 

Must have 3+ Years of Supervisor Experience

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and investigate access control and CCTV system alarms and respond appropriately
  • Implement site specific policies and procedures for safety, security, and emergency response, including after action reporting
  • Respond to calls for security assistance from employees worldwide
  • Serve as a communication hub for client’s employees
  • Detect, analyze, and respond to incidents in a calm and orderly manner
  • Monitor employee travel security through open-source media and paid monitoring services; as needed, alert employees or management to incidents that may impact travelers
  • Monitor and assess local and global security events and communicate impact to client
  • Monitor social media via open source and paid subscriptions for potential risks to client sites
  • Provide support and participate in crisis mitigation and after-action reporting.
  • Sending emergency mass notifications to employees in the event of a crisis, using a mass communication system
  • Monitor functionality of all global security hardware, platforms and applications and alert system administrators of system interruptions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Minimum of six (6) months of Data Center security and/or Security Operations Center experience
  • Experience in Access Control Systems to include access badge modification. (i.e., issuing badges, changing access levels, enrolling and encoding biometrics, PINs and creating proper system notes)
  • Experience in operating CCTV and the use of PTZ, IR and stationary camera systems
  • Experience in Cisco Emergency Responder (CER) Emergency Call Alert systems
  • Experience in using and operating handheld radio systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assess risks in ambiguous and complex situations
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to influence without authority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence, or related field of study
