Job Description

*Now Hiring Full TIME , Dayshift  ARMED Security Patrol Officers in Norristown!*

1st Shift Available, 0700-1500 (40+hrs) Days to be determined but will include all or part of the weekend.
Electronic Access Control and CCTV Exp and/or Above Average Computer skills required
ACT 235 Required (Concealed Carry Permit does not meet requirement)
Referral Bonus Available For ARMED Positions

$20.50 An Hour Starting Pay!

$25.50 after qualifying with company firearm

As an Armed Security Officer you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Electronic Access Control and CCTV Exp and/or Above Average Computer skills
  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • *PA ACT 235 CERTIFICATION (Pennsylvania Only) REQUIRED*
  • *Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles*
  • *Must have 1+ years combined of unarmed or armed security/law enforcement/military experience or the equivalent*
  • *Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time*
  • *Must be able to work outdoors in the elements* 
  • *Must have intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites*
  • *Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills*
  • *Access Control / Access Badge experience preferred* 
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
