Job Description

Now Seeking an Experienced Security Professional for a Nuclear facility!

  • Pay Range $41.07  - $41.82 / hour
  • Full Time - Captain Position
  • Located in Waterford, Connecticut
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid Driver's License, with Minimum of two (2) years of successful service as a Nuclear Security Supervisor (Lieutenant)

 

Allied Universal has security jobs and are seeking to fill the position for an Nuclear Security Shift Supervisor (Captain). The Nuclear Security Shift Supervisor (Captain) is responsible for the overall supervision of the daily operations of the Contract Security Force assigned to his/her shift team. He/she is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and facility and company policies, procedures, and/or guidelines. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for implementing the Physical Security Plan, the Safeguards Contingency Plan, and other appropriate documents in the event of a security contingency. The Shift Supervisor ensures that security events, violations, equipment damage and/or malfunctions are promptly and accurately reported to the Security Manager, Project Manager, and others as required. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels during shift operations.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiates response strategies and direct response activities
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels during shift operations
  • Ensures all orders, directives, and tasks related to security operations are completed to standard in a timely manner

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
    • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to possess and maintain state required license(s) for armed assignment
    • Ability to possess and maintain Armed Officer and Responder certification in accordance with regulatory requirements and site Training and Qualification plan
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

    • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of successful service as a Nuclear Security Supervisor (Lieutenant)
