Job Description

As a Hospital Security Supervisor, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries

The Hospital Security Supervisor will undertake managing the activities of the healthcare security staff, who provide safety at a high-profile client’s healthcare premises and the protection of their staff, members, and visitors. The Hospital Security Supervisor will oversee the healthcare security operations, as well as the supervision and training of the healthcare security officers to ensure full coverage of posts. This role will identify and report incidents, ensure the safety of the healthcare premises and direct and monitor performance of security officers in a friendly and professional manner.

 

Pay Rate: $20.00

Shifts Available: 

M-F 0600 - 1400

 

Requirements: 

  • Valid Drivers License With Clean Driving Record (In The Event Of A Driver Needed) Or Government/State ID 
  • Must have 2 Years verifiable employment history relating to this position - ( Security, Healthcare, Customer Service, Military, Law Enforcement, Corrections) 
  • Natural Hair Color  
  • No Face/Neck Tattoos  
  • Comfortable with Restraining When Needed, Dealing With Combative Patients  
  • Comfortable Transporting Patients To The Morgue When Needed 
  • Comfortable with heights ( you may need to assist in helicopter transports back down to the E.R ) 
  • Comfortable with needles ( you will need a TB test and required vaccinations where applicable )  

 

Job Duties: 

  • Transporting Patients To The Emergency Room 
  • Patrolling: Walking the hospital grounds and looking for anything suspicious or concerning 
  • Reporting: Notifying leadership or other security officers of anything important 
  • Controlling access: Ensuring that only authorized people can enter and exit the hospital, and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or out 
  • Preventing crime: Trying to stop criminal activity, such as theft, vandalism, and disturbances 
  • Responding to emergencies: Helping with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters 
  • Managing issues: Addressing security issues with patients or visitors, and using verbal de-escalation skills to resolve safety incidents 
  • Maintaining confidentiality: Being discreet when handling private information 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Provide overall operational supervision of security personnel at a high-profile healthcare location
  • Assist in the training of security personnel and review post orders
  • Prepare daily payroll sign-in sheets and forward to the Account Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    *A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • A minimum of two (2) years of healthcare security other relevant experience
    • A combination of relevant law enforcement or military experience, including two (2) years of direct supervisory experience
